Off with his locks! Twilight star Robert Pattinson shocked fans as he emerged with a new patchy haircut in Toronto, Canada, this morning


As Edward Cullen on Twilight he has always been seen with a messy, long and thick head of hair.

But many fans may be shocked to see what Robert Pattinson has done to his locks lately.

The 25-year-old Twilight actor emerged with a new short haircut in Toronto, Canada, this morning.

But the new style leaves nothing to be desired.

The sheared look has left Robert with patchy bald spots all over his famous head.

The effect appears as though he either attempted the cut on a night out with the boys or god forbid, balding at a very young age.

But fans can find solace that the cut is all in the name of art.

In his new movie Cosopolis, Robert plays billionaire Eric Packer, who spends the entire film attempting to cross Manhattan in his luxurious limo in order to get a haircut.

Over the course of the last few weeks, the actor has been spotted with many different styles, including a very uncharacteristic slicked down look, which he starts out with in the new flick.

And just last week he was seen with a preppy crew cut, saturated with cream after copping a pie in the face in another scene.

Last night, the actor showed off his new do' in a pair of jeans and a black printed t-shirt.

He looked bemused and bleary eyed as he left the set, attributed to a very late night of shooting.

After wrapping up, Robert emerged at 5.00am to a throng of fans, graciously signing autographs to close to 70 fans for over ten minutes.

And while he was clearly exhausted, he was still able to squeeze in some time for his girlfriend Kristen Stewart.

The actress paid her beau an onset visit in the dead of the night.

The 21-year-old arrived in a SUV and was met by Robert's bodyguard, escorting her straight to her boyfriend's trailer, along with his dog Bear, whom she brought along for a visit.

Robert has been the subject of huge publicity for his original larger than life bouffant hair style, once admitting that he rarely washed it.

When asked if it was true that he once said he hadn't washed his hair for six weeks, the actor once told Extra: 'Probably. I don't know. I don't really see the point in washing your hair.'

The star also revealed he doesn't keep his apartment very tidy either.

'If you don't care if your hair's clean or not then why would you wash it?' he added. 'It's like, I don't clean my apartment because I don't care.

'I have my apartment for sleeping in and I have my hair for just, you know, hanging out on my head. I don't care if it's clean or not.'

Robert will be seen with his more familiar big hair do in the first part of Twilight film Breaking Dawn, which will be released in the U.S. this November.

Cosmopolis will be released next year.

English actor Robert Pattinson, who is set to release the Twilight Saga: Eclipse on 30th June, has revealed that has become bored with his fans being so obsessed with him. The star insists that he can’t wait till it gets over.

“It can get a little boring. The good news is that the whole thing is done in seven months,” the Daily Telegraph quoted Pattinson as telling the New York Times.


“I’ve learned to let it go a bit, but I’m still really bothered by it. The more you are exposed, the more people irrationally hate you. I think we reached a point, a peak, with New Moon where the stories became so saturated into the culture that it started to feel normal,” Pattinson said. “It’s like the tabloids don’t know what to write anymore because they’ve used up all their scandals,” he added.
